We search our network for you, meaning you don’t have to waste time phoning around. Only building surveyors interested in your work will get in touch, making finding the right surveyor much more efficient. We also help you compare different quotes so you can save money.
We’re a business and just like any other business we need to make a profit to survive. We receive a small referral fee for matching you with local building surveyors. This is just the same as any other comparison site whether it’s building surveyors or car insurance you’re looking for. It doesn’t effect the cost of your survey should you choose to use one of our surveyors.
Our service is completely free to use. We will never ask you for money. The only payment you need to make is directly to the building surveyor for the work that they do if you hire them.
All quotes provided through our service are free and without obligation, so if you decide to hire a completely different building surveyor or don’t go ahead with the job then that’s fine.
We will hold your contact details securely. They will never be published on our website or elsewhere on the internet. We will share your details with a maximum of three building surveyors, so that they can contact you and supply a quote. We restrict it to three to prevent you being overwhelmed by phone calls while still giving you a good range of quotes to compare, helping save you money.
It’s entirely your choice who you choose to hire. We recommend comparing the quotes you receive and discussing your needs in detail with each surveyor. It’s good to ask for proof about their experience and any industry qualifications they may have (such as RICS). Hire the building surveyor you feel most comfortable with and who fits your budget.
Sometimes a building surveyor will ask for a deposit before they start the job. This is more likely if the job is large or will take some time to complete. The general industry guidelines are not to give more than 20% of the job price as a deposit. It’s also wise to agree a time schedule with your building surveyor so you know when the work will be completed by.
